Technology Standard
Operating a Video CameraI borrowed a video camera from a friend. I used a tripod to make it steady. I used the zoom to slowly get closer towards the guitar, the book and the couple sitting in the tree.
Composing Shots
To get a closer shot of the couple I make sure that I have the camera closer to them. With composing a shot that has more than one angle, I had to make sure that the different positions I took it from would be the right place and have the actors do the same movement which is shown in the 3 shots with them walking through the trees.
Using Music
I have used two songs over top of my movie. The first song used was quite hard to get the right parts of the song to go with the film as there was a lot of cutting and rearranging to make it all flow together. I used fading of the end song so it wouldn't sunddenly stop.
Importing video files
I put the file that I had recorded onto the computer and then imported it onto the movie maker.
Editing Images for moving image production
I used Windows movie maker for editing my movie because I found it a lot easier to use rather than the Adobe movie maker. Even though the windows programme isnt as professional as the Adobe programme, it still worked out how I wanted it to. I also had a bit of trouble with the Adobe maker as it wasn't letting me do certain things and was working very slowly. Im still happy with how it turned out with using the windows movie maker.

Evaluation
Positive Aspects
I was really happy with the way everything went together and how the scenes that had different angles all flowed together. This is shown in the scene with the couple walking through the trees and the 3 shots go together well. Another positive aspect was how well I put the music over top of the film and got it how I wanted. Also how the music stopped when the motorbike was driving off and then started again with the new song for the credits.
Steps in the process that could have been done better
Things that could have been done better was to video the same scenes a few more times so I had more of a choice of what one I wanted to use. I could have also used my time more wisely and taken the videos outside earlier in the day so the audience would be able to see it better.
Strategies to achieve this
Start recording earlier and take more time looking over each scene before I started with the next one. Also recording more to make it a little bit longer so the songs would fit in a bit easier.
Some evaluation of how these changes to the production process may have affected the media product.
It might have been able to make it flow together better with including the use of the music and made it longer and not so rushed.

Research
I got the guitar and other props sorted out.
Went walking around Harewood School to find the best place to take the shots.
Found the music I wanted to use.
Talked about how and where they would ride the motorbike safely.

My costumes that my actor and actresses are wearing, are sourced from their wardrobes. They are wearing casual clothes to make them look younger than they are.
Props that we have used were found around my house including the guitar, pen and paper etc.

Treatment
The first song 'Can't keep on loving you' starts to play. The first scene is going to will be a close up of the girl's work with her hand writing some things to show she is hard working. The next will be a mid shot also showing the back of her still doing her work. Then a mid shot from the side of her but she has her hand on her face so you cant see who it is. The next scene will be a close up of the guitar and will have the guy playing it and I will pan up to the neck of the guitar where you will see him changing chords. Then there will be a mid shot from behind him still playing the guitar then a mid shot from the whole of his body except his face as I don't want anyone to know who he is yet. All of these shots will be about 6-8 seconds long. The next will be the guy opening the door from his house and walking outside as to show he is going to the park. Then will be the girl opening the door at her house. The next shot will be them two meeting at the park and they hug and walk away. The next will be a long shot of the two characters through the trees at the park holding hands, walking through. There will be a few different shots of this. The next shot is both of the characters sitting on a branch up a tree talking and laughing. It then switches to night time where the girl is inside standing across from her mum with her mum yelling at her. Then switches to an over the shoulder shot facing the girl and she is yelling at her mum. It then changes to the girl jumping out of a window the shot taken from outside watching her starting to climb oout her window then quickly switches to behind her where she jumps right out and runs out. It then switches to showing both of the characters on his motorbike and shows them driving away. The music will stop and you will only hear the sound of the motorbike in the final scene. Then the next song 'I'll love you so' comes on which brings on the credits.
