What catergory, or genre, of text is it? How can you identify this?
It is a sitcom. I know this because it is a comedy which usually have the same interests or environment. Most sitcoms are also recorded in front of a live audience.

What can we learn from this text from its opening minutes or frount cover?
Wee can tell that it is a comedy because from the very beginning they are making jokes. You can also tell that the characters are very close and are best friends by how they act and talk to each other. Also in the first couple of minutes it incorperates the opening which shows them dancing in a fountain together which shows that they would do everything together etc.

It's called Friends and its associated with us because we have friends and can make connections with each of the characters.

It is about 6 people who are in their 20's who have to find a way to survive in the real world and they help each other get through tough times and enjoy the good times together too.
